Ost-Berlin in den 70ern: Der 17-jährige Michael (Alexander Scheer) lebt in der Sonnenallee, deren längeres Ende im Westen und deren kürzeres Ende im Osten der Stadt liegt. Michael träumt davon, ein großer Popstar zu werden. Politik ist ihm eher egal – er ist weder für das DDR-System noch wirklich dagegen. Er will die Organisation "von innen" aufmischen. Dann gibt es da noch Michaels existenzialistisch angehauchten Freund Mario (Alexander Beyer), seinen Kumpel Wuschel (Robert Stadlober), der durch eine Rolling-Stones-Platte in Gefahr gerät, einen Westonkel, der Nylons schmuggelt, sowie einen Nachbarn, der für die Stasi spitzelt – oder doch nicht? Sicher weiß Michael nur, dass er in Miriam verliebt ist: die wunderbare, unerreichbare Miriam. Für sie würde er alles tun. (Quelle: Delphi Filmverleih)

East Berlin in the 70s: 17-year-old Michael (Alexander Scheer) lives in Sonnenallee, the longer end of which is in the western part of the city and the shorter end in the eastern part. Michael dreams of becoming a big pop star. He is rather indifferent to politics - he is neither for the GDR system nor really against it. He wants to shake up the organization "from the inside." Then there's Michael's existentialist-leaning friend Mario (Alexander Beyer), his buddy Wuschel (Robert Stadlober), who gets into danger because of a Rolling Stones record, a western uncle who smuggles nylons, and a neighbor who spies for the Stasi - or does he? The only thing Michael knows for sure is that he is in love with Miriam: the wonderful, unattainable Miriam. He would do anything for her.
